Venice Biennial Fine Art trip
The Venice Biennial takes place every two years, and showcases contemporary art from around the world in the most amazing settings, the Jardini and the Arsenale. Brigitte Jurack is planning a trip for 20 students, leaving Manchester on 13.11. at 2.50 pm and returning on 16.11. at 3.25 pm.
Monday: arrival and immediate visit to Palazzo Fortunay (open till 6pm)
Tuesday: 10 am - 6pm visit of Biennial (Jardini)
Wed. : 10- 6pm visit of Biennial (Arsenale) and for those interested Damine Hirst at Grassi Palazzo/Museum
Thursday: 10 am -12am visit of Palazzo Fortunay/or Grassi (subject to not being able to do either on the previous day) or the Academia (Museum/Art Gallery).
Days start early, to make use of the opening times, evenings are free to walk through a wet, cold and damp Venice.
£299,-- for 3 nights, b+b in budget hotel , flights with EasyJet (hand luggage only!!!!!)
Additionally you will need to budget for :
Entrance fees: Biennial 14 Euros for 2 days, Palazzo Fortunay 10Euros, and Grassi 15 Euros (all with group student discount)
Local transport Venice (again student discount possible, depends how much you need to take the Vaparettos)
Local transport to and from Manchester airport.
