Rob Whitehead is a Clinical Maxillofacial Prosthetist, life-caster and camouflage make-up artist with over 20 years experience. Rob is a member of the Institute of Maxillofacial Prosthetists and Technologists (IMPT); the General Dental Council [GDC] and the British Association of Skin Camouflage [BASC]. Rob has worked within the NHS Hospital Structure for over 20 years and has extensive clinical and technical knowledge of mould making, materials and prosthetic applications for both facial and body prosthetics following trauma, tumour or congenital deformity along with prosthetics used for film and television. Rob has worked for the BBC; London theatres in addition to private companies. He has lectured extensively on the subject; was previously involved with the well known London based make-up school Greasepaint; more recently Rob presents at the Iver Academy at Pinewood Studios. Liz Gill is an experienced Reconstructive Scientist and Research Fellow at MMU.
This is an exciting 2 day introduction demonstrating life casting the body using silicone, demonstration of bald cap creation, colouring silicone, creating flat moulds, creating a realistic silicone eye and demonstration of a blood rig along with the principles behind it & is presented by two of the UK’s leading prosthetists.
